Here's some detail on the tournament brands, through which we'll deliver the exposure to your target market.

International Test Fixtures / Tournaments
This includes all major test fixtures held in Ireland featuring our men's and women's senior teams. Commonly, this would include 3-6 fixtures, hosted around the country, in preparation for major tournament competition (European Nations Championships, World Cup or Olympic Qualification). 2005 is an exceptional year for international hockey competition on Irish soil, with the 7th Women's European Nations Championships being held in Dublin in August 2005.

The Interprovincial Tournament (separate men's and women's Tournaments)
Commonly referred to as the ‘Interpros', this tournament has been held annually since 1928 and has its origins as far back as the 19 th Century. It features a weekend round-robin tournament against the four provincial sides of Leinster, Ulster, Connacht and Munster. The event is a prestige event in the hockey calendar and is followed by a formal gala dinner, attended by all Provincial players, officials and VIP guests. Plans are in development to expand this tournament from the current two-day format to include regular interprovincial matches throughout the year in a broader league format and form the centrepiece of Irish domestic hockey action.

Irish Senior Cup (separate men's and women's Cups)
The Senior Cup is an open-draw, knockout tournament, with the winning team representing Ireland in European club level. The Cup gathers much excitement throughout the year (watched by over 40,000 people during the course of the season) and culminates in substantial crowds for the Cup Final in April. The Final of both the men's and women's Cups are played together as a double-header and are televised live at the National Hockey Stadium, drawing over 2,000 spectators.

The Club Championships (separate men's and women's Championships)
The culmination of the club league schedule, this tournament decides the overall Club Champion of Ireland, with the winner representing Ireland in European competition. The top teams from each of the provincial leagues play off against each other in this eight club tournament that is attended by hundreds of people from all over Ireland.

All-Ireland (Boys) Schools Championships & All-Ireland (Girls) Schools Championships (Kate Russell Cup)
These highly charged and exciting tournaments are the culmination of the schools hockey tournaments. The top schools from each of the provincial school systems play off in a round robin tournament, in a similar fashion to the Club Championships. The winner is promoted to represent Ireland in European competition. The event is full of excitement and heavily attended by hundreds of school children from the schools involved.
