Team Background
The Irish Men's team have risen steadily up the World rankings in the last two seasons to a high of 15. In March of this year they came within a whisker of being the first Irish Team (any team sport) to qualify for the Olympics - a match that put Hockey on the front pages of the Irish Times. Most of the players are now full-time or part-time professional athletes. Recently they won their first round of the World League - part of the qualification route to the World Cup.

There is significant disappointment and frustration for the players that this decision will undo all the progress made over the last few years and the chance of playing in the World Cup.

This team that gave so much entertainment and emotion earlier this year at the Olympic Qualifying Tournament now need your support! They want to control their world ranking by their performance on the field of play! Let's help them do it!!
