Mini Hockey
Mini hockey is a variation on normal hockey, geared to help children of a young age take up and learn the game. The pitch size is greatly reduced and player numbers are reduced to 6 from 11. Most of the rules remain the same as in normal hockey, except for some rules regarding direct frees and penalty corners.
Generally played at U13 level and below, mini hockey is a kid-friendly version of hockey that allows children to start enjoying the game from the moment they pick up a stick, with other kids of their age group.
