Volunteering

Did you know that:

  • 33% of all adults in Ireland are currently volunteers
  • The total amount of time given to voluntary work per year in equivalent to some 96,454 full time workers!
  • Well over a third of voluntary organisations have fewer volunteers than they require
  • The two main rewards people get from volunteering are the satisfaction of seeing the results and the feeling of doing good

Why aren't you volunteering?

Hockey is a great way to get involved in your community, make new friends and help kids and adults alike participate in healthy, social, outdoors activity. Hockey clubs, and the sport of hockey as a whole, are wholly reliant on hardworking volunteers who are committed to making the sport a success for their community, its citizens and their children. There no better way to have fun, help others and enjoy an active, healthy lifestyle than through hockey. So contact your local club or Branch today and see how you can get involved.

What Can I Volunteer For?

Volunteers are always needed across a wide range of disciplines and roles, including:

  • Coaching
  • Membership development
  • Fundraising
  • Match kid's hockey management
  • Catering
  • Administration
  • Transport

Even if you can only spare a small amount of your time, your club will be delighted to hear from you.
