Angus Kirkland
Chief Executive
Angus Kirkland joined the Association with a wealth of experience in strategic planning, sponsorship and sports management. In 2002 Angus completed a Masters in Business Administration majoring in finance, marketing and project management before accruing a further six years experience primarily in the sporting industry.
In 2005 Angus was appointed as Chief Operating Officer with Irish Squash of which his primary responsibility was to oversee all aspects associated with the development and growth of squash in Ireland. Angus also has excellent hands on experience with regard to the day to day management of sport which was gained in management positions with both Mount Pleasant LTC and the Harvard Club of Boston. Angus is also familiar with the demands of playing sport at an elite level as from 1991 - 2000 he competed as a professional squash player which involved international travel to compete in major events

Dave Passmore
High Performance Director
David Passmore joined the Irish Hockey Association in early 2005 in the dual role of National men's coach and High Performance Director. In 2009 David's focus and role moved soley to High Performance Director. Before joining the IHA, he spent eight years as full time coach with English Hockey, working at every World and European level event. David was coach of the highly successful English U18 and U21 women’s teams winning European gold and silver medals respectively. David has had several highlights with the men’s team including the Gold medal at the European Trophy event in Rome 2005 and narrowly missing out on world cup qualification in 2006 drawing with Pakistan in the process. Several notable victories in 2007 included victory over World Champions Germany and tournament draws against Spain and England and a 10-0 win over the Czech Republic in the A division in 2007.
David, a qualified primary teacher has also coached successful club hockey at Chelmsford, Maidstone in England and Cork Harlequins here in Ireland. David is a qualified Level 4 and FIH Performance Coach and is currently completing a distance MSc at Loughborough University.

Gene Muller
Women's National Coach & Director of Player Performance
Muller joins Irish hockey from Field Hockey Canada, where he was the Men's National Team Coach. In his five years as national coach for the Canadian Men's Hockey team Gene brought the team to a world ranking of 14th and among many other achievements the team competed in two Pan-American finals loosing the gold to Argentina on both occasions. Prior to this, Muller was Head Coach to the South African Women's National Team, where he successfully coached the team to the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games. The role has on-pitch coaching responsibilities for the Senior and Development Women's National Teams and also overall responsibility for the IHA's Junior Age Group (JAG) squads, whose national coaches he will directly line manage.

Paul Revington
Men's National Coach
Paul made the move from player to coach while completing his BA, majoring in psychology in Cape Town, in 1995. He successfully coached at school, club and provincial levels until 2000 when he began his international career as assistant coach of the South African U21, Junior Africa Cup Winners, Team. He then took the National U21’s to the Junior World Cup in Hobart in 2001 as Head Coach and joined the Senior National Team as Assistant Coach in the 2002 World Cup in Malaysia. In 2003 he was appointed SA’s National Men’s Hockey Coach. Under Paul, the team finished 3rd at the Champions Challenge Tournament in 2003, 10th at the Athens Olympics in 2004, won the Africa Cup in 2005, competed in the World Cup and Commonwealth Games in 2006 and improved SA’s world ranking from 14th to 10th. Paul coaches and lives by a simple formula of discipline + effort = enjoyment. He is passionate about his work, his team of players and support staff and is delighted to be a part of Irish Men’s Hockey.

Joan Morgan
Executive Secretary
Joan has been the engine room of Irish hockey since joining the Irish Hockey Union in 1997. She has worked for the IHA since its inception in 2000. In her role as Executive Secretary, Joan is responsible for the management of the IHA office, including accounts and customer service/queries. Joan also manages all procurement for the IHA, including international programme expenditure and national team kit supply. Joan also undertakes all Management Board secretarial duties. She is a former Manager of the Irish U18 Girls and of the Senior National Women's Squad. She is the Manager of Hermes Hockey Club, where she is also an Honorary Life Member.

Katie Roche
Marketing Manager
Katie joins the Association with strong marketing hands-on experience, most recently acquired at Irish news portal ireland.com. Her experience is supported by Masters qualifications in marketing.
In her role, Katie will is responsible for the development and implementation of marketing plans for the IHA's key tournament and event dates, together with the management of its commercial partnerships and all press/media liaisons. Katie is also responsible for the ongoing development of the IHA's brands.

Fiona Mills
National Development Officer
Fiona joins the Association with a strong background in hockey coaching, teaching and business. She has accrued experience and expertise in business roles in sales/marketing and recruitment in both the Republic and Northern Ireland and completed a Sports Business Management MBA at San Diego State University in 2006. Following her return to Ireland at the beginning of 2007, she worked at the Irish Sports Council in its Participation Unit. Fiona's coaching experience has largely been accrued at Kings Hospital School in Dublin's west.
Fiona will spearhead the Irish Hockey Association's overall development effort, overseeing the implementation of the National Development Plan and the annual Coaching Programme whilst managing the Association's Western and Eastern Regional Development Officers and its Coaching Administrator.

Phil Oakley
Regional Development Officer ~ Western
Phil joins the IHA with an experienced background in project management in environmental engineering and consultancy. He is a level 2 qualified coach and has been actively coaching for over eight years both and interprovincial and senior club level. He is currently the Ireland A assistant coach and has worked with both the Irish men's and women's senior and junior regional squads.
Phil is responsible for the continuing development of hockey at all levels in Munster and Connacht including support of existing structures and the creation of new structures in both schools and clubs in these areas

Lucas Piccioli
Regional Development Officer - Eastern
A Venezuelan national, Lucas Piccioli joins the Association with a wealth of experience in hockey accrued internationally in Spain, South Africa, Italy, USA, Venezuela and most recently here in Ireland. A former hockey international, Piccioli was responsible for single-handedly establishing hockey in a dozen schools in Venezuela and has strong experience in youth coaching and development. Lucas is a qualified level two coach.
In his role, Lucas will be responsible for the development of participation rates in hockey in the Leinster and Southeast Branch regions of Ireland, with a particular emphasis on youth. Piccioli will work with both Leinster Branches and the Southeast Branch to help design and implement their annual development plans.
