Ms Grace Redmond
President
Grace has been involved in hockey since she picked up her first stick aged twelve. Her extensive experience in hockey includes a playing career with Railway Union and a highly successful international umpiring career. Her administration experience includes a former Presidency of the Irish Ladies Hockey Union, before it merged with the IHU in 2000 and experience as a Tournament Director. Grace was elected President of the Irish Hockey Association in December 2004.

Mr Dixon Rose
Vice President
Dixon Rose has been involved in Ulster and Irish Hockey for many years, both as a player and an administrator.  He is a past President of the former Irish Hockey Union and was a member of the Council and Management Committee of the Irish Hockey Association until December 2004, when he was elected Vice President. He also currently sits on the Advisory Council of the Association. Dixon is an FIH and EHF Tournament Director and is currently Chairman of the Ulster Branch Development Committee. As a player Dixon represented his Province at Senior Level 105 times and was capped 14 times for Ireland .  Dixon is also a past President of the Irish Cricket Union.

Advisory Council
The Advisory Council is a body that is representative of Irish hockey, through which the IHA can communicate progress in all matters relating to the development and management of the sport in Ireland. The Council includes all IHA Branch Presidents, as well as the Chairmen of all Associations who are affiliated to the IHA (such as the Irish Hockey Umpires Association and the Irish Universities Association). The body serves as a crucial liaison instrument between the IHA Management Board and the IHA's Branch and club network. The Council meets at least four times a year, at which the Management Board and the Chief Executive issue progress reports and answers questions from the Council.

Paul Varian
Chief Executive
Paul Varian joined the IHA as its first Chief Executive in November 2004 and is responsible for the management and development of the sport of hockey in Ireland, with a particular emphasis on the implementation of the IHA's Four Year Strategic Plan. He comes with a wealth of experience in executive and general management within the conference and event industry internationally. In 2000, he served as Managing Director of the Canadian division of multinational business research and conferencing group, IQPC. In 2002, Paul was appointed Executive Director of The Results Exchange, a Canadian-based community-of-practice for senior HR executives, which he was involved in from start-up to the company's eventual sale. Paul played hockey at school level for Wesley College and for Monkstown Hockey Club.

Performance Standing Committee
The Performance Standing Committee is responsible for all matters in Irish Hockey that relate to standards of technical performance within the game, at all levels. This includes all coaching matters, performance of elite and international level players (high performance) and umpiring. The Committee is also responsible for the development of the game, in terms of increasing player numbers, and for the development and management of the sport's annual fixture schedule. To manage this large workload, the Committee has four Sub-Committees reporting to it, focusing of the areas of Development, Umpires, Coaching and Competitions.

Finance Standing Committee
The Finance Standing Committee is responsible for the overall management of the Association's finance, both from a financial and management accounting standpoint. Working closely with the Treasurer and the Chief Executive, the Committee oversees the compilation of the Association's annual accounts and the development of annual budgets and associated reports for the Board. The Committee also works closely with the Marketing Standing Committee with respect to corporate sponsorship and other fundraising activities.

Marketing Standing Committee
The Marketing Standing Committee is responsible for all activities that increase the exposure hockey receives in Ireland, with the key goals of increasing spectator volumes, player volumes and corporate sponsorship. This work includes TV and media relations and individual event marketing. It also includes the raising of corporate sponsorship and assistance to the Development Sub-Committee in developing programmes to increase general awareness and profile for the game, particularly in areas where the game is not heavily played yet.

Development Sub-Committee
The Development Sub-Committee is responsible for establishing strategy and implementing plans that increase the number of people playing hockey in Ireland, of all ages and standard. Taking a strong focus on kids and youth development, the committee works closely with the Marketing Standing Committee, who provide high level promotional support to grass root projects established in clubs and schools by the Committee. Projects such as Mini Hockey, Colts/Fillies Programmes, Veterans Hockey are important aspects to the Committee's work going forward, as is the development of hockey in areas of the country where the sport is not heavily played. The Committee will work with the to-be-appointed Development Officer of the IHA to develop a National Development Strategy, that will act as a framework for development of the sport and the activities of the Committee over the next four years.

Umpires Sub-Committee
The Umpires Sub-Committee is responsible for working with the Irish Hockey Umpires Association (IHUA) to manage all aspects of umpiring of hockey in Ireland. The Committee adopts its responsibilities directly from the IHUA's Constitution and is the main liaison body between the IHUA and the IHA. Important areas of focus for the Committee include umpire development and the development of umpire development pathways, as well as promoting and supporting higher standards of hockey umpiring at all levels of the game in Ireland.

Competitions Sub-Committee
The Competitions Committee is responsible for managing and administering all national and interprovincial IHA-affiliated hockey competition structures in Ireland. This includes the scheduling of annual fixture programmes, both domestic and international, with strong input from the National Coaches and the High Performance Director. The Committee also administers the rules of these competitions and has significant input into the development of competition reform models with which to bring the game forward.

Coaching Sub-Committee
The Coaching Sub-Committee is responsible for all aspects of coaching of hockey in Ireland, as all levels, including High Performance. This includes all coaching development planning and all coach education and training mandates, including tutor development. The Committee works closely with the High Performance Director to ensure that high performance planning initiatives dovetail seamlessly with other coaching and performance planning.
