HOCKEY: Ireland to Compete in 5 Nations in PARIS (Men)

The National Mens Hockey Team have a busy August ahead competing in a home series against Malaysia, 18th - 22nd August, followed by a 5 Nations Tournament in Paris from the 24th - 29th August. These matches will afford the Mens team an opportunity to come together on the international platform after a six week break.
Commenting on the upcoming matches Coach Paul Revington said "Our Team needs to continue to accumulate game and competition experience and these events provide this opportunity. The current challenge for our team will be playing these test matches after a period of necessary rest and recovery for the players, knowing that the players will be competing with international teams at the peak of their respective summer programs. The team however showed a good balance of technical quality and emotional strength during the recent summer period and I know they will arrive back on the 14th August determined to make the most of these test match and competition opportunities before they start their respective club seasons."
Ireland will take on Malaysia on home soil in a four match series from the 18th - 22nd August (the match details of which are to be confirmed) before travelling to Paris to play in a 5 nations alongside Malaysia, France, Poland and Scotland.
The squads for both sets of test matches will be announced in the upcoming weeks.
