How do I become a qualified coach?
Coach Education courses are held regularly around each of the IHA's branches. This includes the IHA's Pathway Courses which are the Introductory Coaching Course for Volunteers, the Introductory Coaching Course for Teachers, the Level 1 Coaching Course, the Level 2 Coaching Course and the Level 3 Coaching Course. Outside of pathway courses, the IHA also runs Stepping Stones Courses, which are classroom based sessions that provide continuous professional development. How do I find out more information about the Youth Leader Programme?
The IHA has launched a dedicated website to the Youth Leader Programme which has all of the information on the programme that you need. This includes resources for Youth Leaders to download as well as news and events. The website can be accessed by clicking on Youth Leader Website.
How do I become a Qualified Umpire?
Umpiring courses are run by the individual branch associations which operate at a local level. The IHA does not run any umpiring courses. Where can I learn to play or watch hockey?
Most clubs and schools cater for a variety of playing abilities and many different ages. For more details of clubs and schools in your area, follow the links below. You can go along and learn to play or ask for details on when the next matches are scheduled to go and watch. The Club List and School List are both available on the IHA website.
Where can I get the up to date rules of hockey?
Rules are updated every two years or so by the International Hockey Federation. The latest version is available by clicking here.
