About the Women's ESB Irish Senior Cup

The ESB Women's Senior Cup dates back to 1903. The competition is an open draw format and the following 1st XI teams are eligible to enter Ulster Premier;  Leinster Div 1;  Munster IHL Qualifier plus Wild Card entry.

The tournament generates tremendous excitement around the country and Cup Final Day is the highlight of domestic calendar, which is played as a double-header with the men's final, live on national television at the National Hockey Stadium. The winner of the Senior Cup represents Ireland in the European Cup Winners Cup for the following season.
