About the Men's Irish Senior Cup
The Men's Senior Cup dates back to 1894 and is one of the oldest hockey tournaments in the world. The competition is an open draw format and the following 1st XI teams are eligible to enter Ulster Premier; Leinster Senior 1; Munster IHL Qualifier plus Wild Card entry.
The tournament generates tremendous excitement around the country and Cup Final Day is the highlight of domestic calendar, which is played as a double-header with the women's final, live on national television at the National Hockey Stadium. The winner of the Senior Cup represents Ireland in European the following season.
